The Indigenous Resilience Center, in partnership with the Arizona Institute for Resilience (AIR), will host a six-part interactive workshop series in which participants will receive training and learn wise practices on environmental research with tribal communities. Attend in-person or via Zoom, registration required.

Reggie Premo is a member of the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley reservation that encompasses northeastern NV and southern ID, he is a descendant of the Tosawihi (White Knife) band of Western Shoshone. Reggie has been employed with the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Native Programs as the Community Outreach Specialist based on the Duck Valley Reservation in Owyhee, NV since yr. 2010. Constructing hoop houses and providing education and outreach assistance for Nevada tribes & communities has been a major part of his work.

This session is aimed to highlight researchers that engage Indigenous communities through their work. Each speaker will provide a 10-minute talk about their research followed by 2 minutes of audience Q&A.
