Saray Argumedo (Chichimeca) born in South Los Angeles and raised in the borderland of El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juárez Chihuahua, Mexico. Her family originates from the mountains and cornfields of Chalchihuites, Saín Alto Zacatecas and El Centro, Hidalgo del Parral Chihuahua.

She received a B.A. in Communications from The University of Texas at El Paso and a Master of Community and Regional Planning with a focus in Indigenous Planning from the University of New Mexico. She is currently the MESCIT Program Manager and a doctoral student in Teaching, Learning and Sociocultural Studies at the University of Arizona
