The Planning Process

Spring 2022 - Spring 2023

  • Research and case studies compiled by Native students from the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture
  • Interviews conducted with stakeholders across campus
  • Feedback from UArizona Native students, faculty, staff, and tribal communities collected via online survey
  • Feedback collected via Public Open House, December 7th, 2022
  • Spring 2023: Students in the Master of Architecture Program in the School of Architecture explored different locations on campus; identifying program spaces and scope; listing project goals; and creating graphic expressions
  • Student Showcase and Focus Group: May 8th, 2023

Fall 2023 

  • The Office of Native American Advancement and Tribal Engagement has taken the first step to initiate the project by submitting a Project Proposal to the Office of Planning Design & Construction (PD&C). PD&C facilitates and manages design and construction projects at the University of Arizona and is responsible for administering design and construction contracts in accordance with the Arizona Board of Regents Policy requirements.

Spring 2024

  • The Project Proposal has been submitted to the Office of Planning Design & Construction.
