UNVEILING THE MUSEUM OF DEMOCRACY:
PROTEST AND AMERICAN VALUES WITH CORNELL WEST AND ROBERT GEORGE
The Center for the Philosophy of Freedom and the University of Arizona, in collaboration with the Museum of Democracy, on behalf of the Arizona Board of Regents, will be hosting a conversation on “Civil Disagreement, Protest, and the American Republic,” with Dr. Cornel West and Dr. Robert George, moderated by Jay Nordlinger (National Review, Senior Editor).
This event marks the start of a compelling series of discussion curated by the Center for the Philosophy of Freedom to accompany the Museum of Democracy’s exhibit “You Say You Want A Revolution: Politics and Art in the 1960s”. The exhibit explores protest, progress, and the American Republic from the Civil Rights era to today, with a special focus on the 60’s and 70’s. The Museum of Democracy’s exhibit and the accompanying FC speaker series are part of the Arizona board of regents’ Presidential Project, a civic education program designed to foster knowledge of the American presidencies and presidential elections among undergraduate students, high school students and the broader community.
