| Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025 | 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM (MST) Friday, Nov. 21, 2025 | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (MST) 1201 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85721 |
Educator, scholar, lawyer, activist, theologian. These are just a few words to describe Vine Deloria, Jr. (Standing Rock Sioux). Born in 1933 and passing away in November 2005, Vine’s more than fifty-year career spurred a legacy that is still strong at the University of Arizona and beyond. This symposium will reflect on Vine’s work, the impact that he had on his contemporaries and students, and how his interdisciplinary legacy continues to thrive twenty years later.
